I give Jen Schreiber my highest possible recommendation. I have moved four times in the past five years, and she is the most professional, proactive, knowledgeable agent I’ve ever worked with. Initially, she asked me extensive questions to make sure I was getting the correct property. During this conversation, she illuminated things I didn’t even know I needed or wanted in a place. She is very thorough and seemed to really care about me ultimately being happy in my home. I have worked with many agents over the years, but Jen’s diligence distinguished her immediately. Further, during the apartment search, I had a very demanding work schedule, and she went to great lengths to make finding and choosing a place easy for me. She even went to appointments I could not make and asked the landlords thoughtful questions I would have never considered. She then sent long videos featuring the places and her commentary. Jen is an amazing realtor. She helped us sell our house, and purchase a new one and in both capacities, she went above and beyond. From the selling perspective, she listened to concerns, brought me back to Earth and has a serious eye for staging– ultimately getting us the most in the sale of our house. On the buying side, she was tireless when it came to research, negotiating and making sure the house was in tip top shape for our move in. Our process moved very quickly beginning to end and while it could have felt a bit like whiplash– listing a house, selling it in LESS THAN A WEEK and finding the perfect house for our family– but at every turn Jen was confident, honest wise and supportive. I am so incredibly bummed that I’m moving out of Chicago and wont get a chance to use Jen’s services again. Please consider Jen when selling/buying, our experience has been so perfect I can’t help but sing her praises. Our story was that we had a very specific timeline and very urgent need to close quickly as well as a desire to not have to stress myself out to tears every day. (Listen, moving 600 miles with a 12 week old is hard enough, having an agent fall over herself to make things easier for you is a rare and wonderful thing.) Jen listened to everything we said, didn’t bulldoze us with outrageous demands, and rolled with all the punches (including negotiating offers while I was overseas with laryngitis). Working with Jen through the sale of our condo and purchase of a new home was amazing. She went above and beyond in all aspects of the process. Prior to selling our unit, we were given a very detailed pricing strategy which lead to multiple offers and we went under contract above list price within the weekend we listed! Jen listened to our needs and was super flexible in seeing many, many homes in various parts of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. She helped us submit multiple offers at various homes and when all was said and done we were able to find the perfect house that appraised for more than the purchase price! We highly recommend Jen! She inherited our listing after it had been sitting on the market for several frustrating months and as soon as she took over our realtor experience improved 100%. The difference was night and day. She had a lot of great suggestions for getting our place to look great both online and in person and was available any time to meet painters, stagers, etc. to make it happen. She even brought several items from her own home! Jen was available any time via text, call, or email and always proactively set us up with a backup realtor if she knew she would be busy. She took a multifaceted approach of online listings, private showings, and open houses and we received an offer even though peak season had come and gone before she was our realtor. During negotiations she was very helpful and after the sale closed she regularly checked in with us just to see how our new home was even though it was in a different city. She is great!
